New Dolls

I joined the Doll Palace forum a few weeks back and entered their Mary Sue contest...So I just had to do this...meet Countess Jade Dooku-Kenobi (for short - her name is so stupidly long, that I just don't want to type it out every time - so there!

Name: Countess Jade Principessa Zara Sylvie Aurora Nova Moonbeam Starflare Dooku-Kenobi

Age: 21

Fandom: Star Wars

Appearance:

Jade is a Chiss. Her skin is a paler blue than most of her kind, the colour of silver moonbeams. Her eyes are different colours, her right a brilliant violet that matches the colour of the sky at twilight and her left eye is the colour of jade. Her flaming red hair tumbles down past her shoulders to her hips. Her hair also has metallic green and violet highlights that sparkle like stars in certain light conditions. She hates wearing the usual dull brown Jedi robes that most Jedi wear and instead likes to wear splendid, luxurious gothic style dresses at every opportunity, which are impractical in a fight! Her wardrobe, of course, vastly exceeds that of Queen Amidala, requiring an interplanetary transport of its own whenever she leaves Coruscant. However, no matter how arduous a battle is, she always manages to keep her dresses clean and undamaged and her hair, though allowed to tumble freely about her is never disheveled and she never has a single hair out of place. Her lightsaber is more than just a weapon to her, it is a fashion accessory, a double-bladed lightsabre with one blade matching the colour of her left eye, the other the colour of her right. She is graceful, always holding her head up high, athletic and with a body to show for it. Her beauty and grace even surpasses that of Queen Amidala when decked out in all her finery and the Twi’lek Jedi woman, Aalya Secura. All the female Jedi, no matter what species, are insanely jealous of her beauty and she has even received death threats from female senators, queens, duchesses, princesses and celebrities because her beauty vastly outshines their own. Just as equally as all the women hate her, all the male Jedi, no matter what species, absolutely adore her. Her beauty alone is enough to get two sides in a conflict to agree with each other and negotiate terms for peace. In fact, Anakin Skywalker, when he first met her, told her that she was more beautiful than the Angels from the Moons of Iego, which he had previously said were the most beautiful creatures in the universe!

Personality:

When she enters a room, the mood lightens, even if the most dreadful event has taken place only moments before. She is wiser than Master Yoda, more loyal to the Jedi Order than Obi-Wan Kenobi, more courageous than Master Quinlan Vos and more compassionate than Master Qui-Gon Jinn. She views her beauty as a curse and hates it because it means that she never gets a chance to use her amazing combat skills on anyone.

Powers/Skills:

Being a Jedi, means that she is very strong in the Force, so strong in fact, that her midi chlorian count exceeds that of Master Yoda tenfold, and that that of Anakin Skywalker a hundred fold. She became an expert in all the seven lightsaber forms when she was 8 years old, was able to defeat Masters such as Kit Fisto and Mace Windu in lightsaber combat from the age of 10. She also became an expert in the Force-based martial art combat of Teras Kasi from the age of 12, because her beauty was so profound that even Teras Kasi practitioners, who usually have a deep mistrust of Jedi, made them fall instantly in love with her the moment they clapped eyes on her and they just had to teach it to her. Her other skills include amazing healing powers using the Force, so much so that the skills Baris Offee, a fellow Jedi healer, don’t come close to matching her skills. Her piloting skills exceed that of Anakin Skywalker, whom Obi-Wan Kenobi once described as the best figher pilot in the Galaxy! She is also an accomplished musician and singer - other people have described her music has having the ability to bring lasting peace to the galaxy if only they could convince her to give up being a Jedi and become a musician full time! Her voice is sweeter than all the song birds in the galaxy.

Bio:

Jade was found as an orphaned 6 year old child roaming the streets of Nar Shaddaa by Count Dooku. So impressed was he by the child’s strength in the Force, that he immediately named her the heir to his estate upon his death and took her to be his new Padawan Learner. Her parents were murdered by Darth Maul when they refused to help him over throw the Sith Lord, Darth Sidious. When she learned that Obi-Wan Kenobi had killed Darth Maul, an event that took place about ten years after Dooku had found her, she fell hopelessly in love with the Jedi Knight. Obi-Wan, whose previous love interests had been Siri Tachi and more recently, the handmaidan, Sabe. Obi-Wan, of course, falls for her completely, breaks off his romance with Sabe and a sickly-sweet romance between him and Jade ensues. Obi-Wan asks the Jedi Council for permission to marry her, but they refuse to allow them to do so – not on the grounds that it is against the Order’s rules, regarding attachments, but because if he were allowed to marry her, it would fracture the Jedi Order because all the male adult/adolescent male Jedi are all hopelessly in love with her! Disappointed at the Council's decision, but considered herself to married to Obi-Wan in her heart, Jade adds Kenobi to her last name, making it Dooku-Kenobi. Will they ever be able to marry?

Base: LTnnOg Dolls

This one was quite fun to do and it makes a change to be able to do a Star Wars character that wasn't all that serious in the grand scheme of things! The doll above is my second version of her. I did a previous doll, but I didn't think that she looked Mary-Sue enough...Here is my first attempt. I'll probably include her on Darkside of the Moon somewhere, because I think she deserves a place there. She is a nod also to the many Obi-Wife Sues that rampage through the realms of Star Wars fan fiction...The name of Principessa was inspired by a silly name which a university student once had on facebook. I just thought that it was such an outrageous name that I just had to use it to name a sue...

Doll Palace Dolls

I made these some time ago. They are based on the Palace Chat base and are basically Shistavanens or female werewolves or even furries, depending on what you see them as. I of course, think of them as Shistavanens from Star Wars. Unlike the Palace dolls, I have shaded them and they were very fun to make. I can't remember when I did them now, though, because it was such a while ago... I shall probably make some more when I get the chance. Because I didn't put a lot of work into these, they are adoptable but I would prefer it if people did link back to me if they are used!

General Update:

I've retreived some old files on the PC that has the blue-screen problem. The funny thing is, the bluescreen problem only occurs when it is hooked up to the internet, but runs OK when it isn't, which is kind of useless when the reason why you got it was to go onto the internet! However, I am glad that I've been able to save these files because it now means that the PC can be fixed, which means that hopefully, I will have a computer which I don't need to share with someone else that I can actually use! That means (bar internet usage, because we need to watch our bandwidth) that I will hopefully, be able to get more work done on the site. It is also good news, because once this is sorted, I'll have a computer for my MSc work starting in September. Whaoooooo!

New Doll!:

The character is my Star Wars OC Shistavanen Sith, Azet. It is made from the same base as the Mizet doll. The site which it is from is now, sadly, down :( and I am lucky to have saved the base on my computer!

Michael Stackpole FL Update:

I've started to move the Michael Stackpole fanlisting to bravenet. It just needs to be "joined" together now. That just leaves Kyp Durron and Shistavanens! I am glad that the fanlistings move is almost finished now. I don't think I'll be applying for anymore FLs for a while because I've got the much neglected SWCC and Darkside of the Moon sites to work on. There's been more whinging about layouts on the FL.org forum...So that is partly my motivation on not applying for stuff. I think people just need to shut up and stop being so egotistical about it all. Hopefully by the time I've finished working on SWCC and Darkside of the Moon the layout snobs will have moved on to something else to moan about...Tons of drama over nothing, if you ask me!

FLs Update:

I've finished moving the Thundercats Fanlisting over to bravenet. That just leaves the Kyp Durron, Michael A. Stackpole and Shistavanen Fanlistings to move over, which I am glad of. This means that I can start work on SWCC soon, and can do some work for Darkside of the Moon. I think it's quite good that I've managed to move over a lot of this stuff. I'll probably leave the freewebs stuff up a couple of months after I've moved everything, and post in the TFL.org to inform everyone that the sites have been moved over, so they can update their links. After that, the freewebs account will be cleared out.

Return of the Jedi Movie Listing FL finished!

Yay. I still need to do some codes, but as it's been a busy month this month, I didn't want to add to the workload. I think I'll take a break from the FL stuff for a while because I've been doing this stuff for ages. So in April, unless I get members joining, I won't be doing any work on them. I think I'll concentrate on SWCC for a while instead, since it's been ages since that site saw any love. (I mean, other then the moving aspect of it, I don't need to do anything major on it, but it does need transfering to DWN.

Oh yeah, before I forget, here's the link for the ROTJ FL. It is listed at the Movie Listings and is NOT (for the time being) connected with TFL.

Fanlisting Update:

I've finished the fanlistings for David Attenborough and Rachel Vincent's Shifters series. Yay! Things have been quite hectic here because of the house move and we're still getting settled down here. I have started on the Movie Listing FL for Return of the Jedi, as well, but as yet I've only got the layout sorted out for it. I've been working on these over the weekend and today, so I'm going to have a break from it until the weekend, and once that is done, I am going to have a look through the FLs which still need to be moved over. (three or four, I think in total - I'm hoping that all of this will be done soon!)

Fanlisting Update and Other News:

I have been approved for the David Attenbourgh fanlisting. YAY! I have begun work on it, but it will probably take me another couple of weeks because we're currently moving home and there's millions of things to do, and I am feeling quite tired right now. It is one of the fanlistings that I've been routing for for quite a while, though and I am glad to have got it!

It has been a rather crap week this week because we had to have Sybil to the vets on Monday. She had a tumor and wet tail, but it was making her really ill and she was sleeping practically all the time and wasn't eating, either (she would come out for food, store it in her nest, and then not eat it.) The vet thought it best that she be put to sleep. As we have urban foxes and badgers around, we thought it best that the vets dealt with her because we didn't want them digging her up. We also had a lot of stuff going on at the flat with having new security doors put in (which don't seem to actually work....) and had to put up with loads of banging and drilling. Arggh!

Losing Sybil did make me wonder if it was the right time to get a dog after we move because there's been a load of crap going on recently, and if anything were to happen to a puppy or dog if we got one, I didn't want anything to happen to it. 2012 the Mayan year of the Apocalypse? Probably not far off....

Computer Update 2:

It looks like the problem with the laptop being slow comes from when Vista needs to update. It had a massive one last night and today it's moving faster than in all the time I've had it (at least, from what I can remember anyway.) So, I can actually do some work on it. I wonder how long it's going to last until it is its old, crippled snail sloooooooooow self?

Posted by Emimar, 15th February, 2012

Computer Update:

It looks like the problem is solved apart from the Java program which can't be uninstalled for the netbook. It looks like the problem with the laptop is Vista, as I've always suspected, so hopefully I'll be getting XP installed on it. It'll mean that the files will be wiped, but I have back ups anyway, so that is not a problem. It's good to get the laptop back actually, because now I'll be able to do more work and won't need to share anymore. Plus, there's a backup computer incase either of them go wrong, which is always good to have, I think.

Replicator Attack!!!!:

OK, probably an exageration, but it turns out that the access problems I've been having with Google recently, the search engine redirection to other sites and the browser problems are all down to a virus, a trojan and a few other types of malware that the netbook has picked up. The virus has targeted Facebook users since January, so if you use Facebook and you've been having problems similar to mine, the chances are that the computer has been infected and needs to be looked at by someone who knows something about computers. (Beware, because it also infected the BT Hub, so it's probably got into the software that your Internet Provider gave you to set up your computer connection as well. The trojans appear to be a right pain in the arse to get rid of and you may also have problems getting into the Windows Safe Mode...)

So at the moment I'm using that old, slow as a crippled snail making its way over a razorblade laptop, which also appears to have picked up something nasty, but thankfully not the horrible things the netbook has, but I will be getting it looked at as well. However, it is a good thing in someways because now I know what the problem with the laptop has been, I can probably get it fixed (yay, more computers!) and I also found out that there has been a problem with the Deinonychus fanlisting layout that I wasn't aware of because of the screen sizes. It looked ok in on the netbook but on the laptop the layout was out of line...now it is fixed.

In other news, I've got Darth Plagueis today in the mail, the Crufts tickets have arrived (yay!), Disc one of Stargate Atlantis Season 5 has arrived from Love Film, and FINALLY AT LONG LAST, MY BSC CERTIFICATE IS HERE!(and it will be framed - it deserves one....). So inspite of the computer problems this week, today feels like Yule (and with the snow around, quite appropriate, I'd have thought...)

Update:

Unintentionally, I've moved the Jane Lindskold fanlisting today, after giving it a pretty new layout. Until now, I didn't realise how awful the coding was for the old site, mainly because it had been generated by Netscape Composer, rather than being coded. Arrgggh!

So here it is: Jane Lindskold

I've also realised that I've not updated the Kob Maru site to show the new location of the Badgers fanlisting...Opps...I suppose stuff like that can happen when you're busy and can be over looked quite easily.

The weather I must say has been horrible recently and cold, so it makes me want to do website stuff where it's nice and warm, but I really do want to be able to get out and about. It's getting to that time of year I hate when I can see the changes in the seasons and want it to be spring, but spring just doesn't seem to come fast enough and it seems further away than it did at Halloween! Come on, spring...

Doll Found:

I found this while looking for some buttons I made for the Thundercats Fanlisting. I must have made it some time ago, but did not upload it to the website for some reason. It is my Star Wars Original Character, Kat Ros, as a Jedi. Since it has been so long since I made it and because I didn't upload it at the time I created it, I can't recall the doll site for the base. Any help finding out would be useful. I think it may have been DHF, Josies Dolls or Xandorra, but I can't be sure, which is annoying to say the least. There are also a few dolls I've found which I've not finished yet, which I will do so once I find the time.

General Site Update:

The European Badgers fanlisting has now been moved to bravenet. I have started moving the Thundercats fanlisting over, so that should be the next fanlisting to be moved.

I've also finally got around to uploading those photos which were taken at Thirsk last November. So here they are. A couple of them are a bit blurly, but that can't be helped. I will probably do some editing of those and stick them on the All Creatures Great and Small fanlisting when I finally get around to doing it.

Speaking of moving, we will be moving house this month, so I don't know how much work I can get done on the site this month. It is also snowing as I am typing this and it looks like it could be a bad one, but it is too early to say at the moment. But it is following the same pattern that it did in late Nov/early Dec 2010, so we could be stuck here for a week! We will be finished moving by March and I am hoping to get something very speacial soon after that...something I've been wanting to get for apsolutely ages and which has seemed like its taken forever in coming to pass...but more of that closer to the time!

Back Online

The battle against SOPA is not yet over, but well done to Wikipedia, Wordpress and Google for standing up for freedom of speech! I also came across a list of companies which are supportive of this bill, and for the most part, it doesn't come as much as a surprise as to who is on it. However, Fox happens to not be there which is a surprise. Perhaps certain film directors realise that fan sites are a good thing to allow! Here's a link to the PDF and I'll let site visitors decide on what they should do about it.

Internet Strike!

By now, I suppose readers from the US will have heard of SOPA and PIPA. So from Jan 17 - Jan 19 (UK times) I will be disabling my sites and going on strike. Although it officially starts on Jan 18, rather than Jan 17, I want to make the point for different time zones, as well as for the US so that on the actual 18 from any country in the world the site will be unavialble for that day. The rest of the update is from Danny Shaw at fightforthefuture.org. And come on, TFL.Org. Join in, please. These bills will criminalise all the members of our community so don't just sit back and allow it to go through!

On Jan. 18th there is going to be an all-out strike on the internet. Websites across the internet are going dark in protest of the internet censorship bills in Congress, SOPA and PIPA.

Some of the biggest sites in the world are participating: Reddit, Mozilla. And some others may join (e.g. a leading micro-blogging platform and a popular collaboratively-written encyclopedia), but they need a nudge. If we can get them to join this will be EPIC.

Ask the biggest sites on the internet to join the strike. Click here.

Some Progress

Made some progress on the Kelley Armstrong Fanlisting. One problem I have found is that quite a bit of it needs editing. I also came across a nice Star Trek fan site today. Sadly though I don't know how much longer these nice little fan sites will exist for because SOPA looks set to kill off the internet as we know it. It's stupid, when you consider that for most people, it's just an hobby...

A little bit late, but Happy New Year!

I've just finished updating all the fanlistings. I still need to move the Kelley Armstrong fanlisting over, but that should be done in the next couple of weeks or so.

I have been working on the new wordpress book blog since the New Year, which explains why I've not felt like working on the fanlisting side of things. For the curious, it can be found here. Back in September, I also started a natural history website about carnivores, which is also hosted by wordpress. It is going to be a long term project and I've been looking for good quality images of canid species (as well as other carnivore species) and this explains why I've not updated Dead Winter's Night for a couple of weeks.

Yep, You Guessed it...

Another Fanlisting Update!

I have begun moving the Kelley Armstrong Fanlisting across and in the process, given it a new look. The old design was a bit squished, espeacially as I've added more things to it. I will also be adding some new icons and codes. For some reason, I find working on this particular FL fun. I still need to do a little editing of the pages (like I need to add stuff which weren't on my hard drive copy...but other than that, the move is going quite well. Oh yeah, the new banner for the site is based on the art work for the new Sub Press Novella, Hidden, which I hope, should be arriving soon! I hope it hurries up....

Fanlistings Update

I have finished moving the Timothy Zahn Fanlisting to its new host. Yay! There is still quite a few fanlistings to move over, but these shall have to wait until the New Year now. As this will be the last time I will be updating the site, have a Merry Yule. (Yep, I know it's a couple of days late, but in Asatru, Yule lasts from the 21st of December until the New Year anyway...)

Dolls Pages Update

I've finished coding and uploading all of the dolls pages now and they are completely up to date, including adding the ones I uploaded yesterday. The site is coming along pretty well now. It has taken me longer in some cases than I expected, but I am making good progress. This is turning out to be my best incarnation of the site ever with content. (Now, I really, really need to get those fanlistings and SWCC moved...)

Posted by Emimar, 14th December, 2011

Waiting is boring

OK, I sent off an e-mail to get the academic reference I need for the MSc app. Guess what? Not here yet, not that I'm surprised. I suspect that I won't be starting it in Jan, but will have to wait until next frigging September to start it. I've a mind of not bothering to apply and go to Bristol like I wanted, but that's just the peed off me talking...I hate it when that happens because I got jerked around so many times by the Job Centre in my early-mid twenties that it's difficult not to take it personally. Arrrgh!

On a more positive light, I've been doing some more work on Darkside of the Moon. There are now more images in the gallery and I've made a couple of new dolls. So here they are!

Mizet, looking quite regal (a Star Wars OC). Base: Eleni Aranelwa

Not really new, but a revamp of a prep sized doll and one of the old ones (which I acutally shaded....). This one was fun. I wondered what it would be like you could get my characters as action figures. Will probably do some more because it was quite fun to do. I've noticed that someone has been, either on purpose or not, lifting ideas from my Star Wars fan fic. I don't mind it just once, but three or four times? That's just bad. So from now on, I've decided to date things so that if I notice anything in future, I'll know for sure that it wasn't a co-incidence. It's a pain, because fan fic is meant to be fun, not a steal fest.

Getting Rather Chilly Now...

Good day today as we went to the Victorian Christmas Market. I managed to get hold of a number of items, including a Star Wars mug, a wooden mushroom (made from wood from our local anicent woodland), a gargoyole, a green lady plaque, a border collie card and purse (may use this for my runes...), an owl, a handmade notebook (again, I'll probably use this for my rune research) and some strawberry jam. It was a brilliant market, and I look forward to going to one next year, and it is good to see that crafts are alive and well. As I'm typing, it's about 3oC, which explains the title of the update and my hands are freezing and getting rather stiff. I'm not sure if we'll have any snow yet, but I'm not going to rule it out. Last year and the year before, the snow caught us quite off guard - in 2009-10 we had deep snow for a week (on the 21st December, which is quite ironic, because of the winter soltice) and then just after the New Year, which caused me to miss my Developmental Biology Exam because it snowed the day before it was supposed to be and it was quite bad, and as I was at home in Sheffield, rather than in Derby, we couldn't get through. Last November/early December it was bad because it snowed bad enough to close the Uni (I was due to hand in my Habitat Management Assignment the day it was shut) and it snowed for about a week. In Sheffield, our car was buried, so I was stuck in Derby but couldn't go to uni because it was either closed or the classes had been canceled. I also managed to slip on some ice and twist my ankle which made me miss one of the Behavioural Ecology lecutres...It is unusual for it to snow like that in the UK, but because of the last couple of years, I'm bracing myself. Fortunately, I'm not at uni now, so at least classes and exams won't be disrupted!

YULE!

OK, offically, it's the first day of Yule (if you're Asatruar), though obviously, it doesn't start until the 21st. I am currently ill at the moment, thanks to a flu jab I had a couple of weeks back. It's annoying because I want to finish my application for MSc in Conservation at Derby but I don't feel like it and it's never a good idea to try something like that when you're ill because you usually make mistakes. There are other MScs that I've found which I'm interested in, including a Paleobiology one at Bristol (in fact there are a couple at Bristol which I'm interested in, as Bristol is also home to the Bristol Fox Project, research that I've been interested in ever since I was teenager), and a couple of others, but I've decided for now anyway that I want to go back to Derby. Part of it is because I got an e-mail last week from one of my old lecturers, asking me if I'm interested in starting it in January. That is something I've had before and the other reason is because I get a discount on it, which in the current economic climate (ah, I get to use that phrase instead of climate change....) is a good thing. Unlike other Unis, Derby seems to want to keep things affordable for people, even if the fees are higher than when I was doing my BSc. I like that in a uni and so I would much rather support a uni which wanted to keep people in education rather than pricing them out of it.

Yet Another Fanlisting Update

Just completed moving the African Wild Dog fanlisting. I just need to move Badgers over and then the fanlistings for animals move will be complete.

Fanlistings to move over:

Grey Ghost (Badgers)
Feel the Magic, Hear the Roar! (Thundercats)
Enter the Otherworld (Kelley Armstrong)
Wolf's Heart, Wolf's Soul (Jane Lindskold) - Will probably do a new layout for it, as the current one is ancient...
Once A Hero (Michael A. Stackpole)
Survivor (Kyp Durron)
Space Wolves (Shistavanens)
Misfits (Wraith Squadron)
Heart of a Warrior (Worf)

Let the Writing Frenzy Begin...

Today's the start of Nano. So far I have 1966 words and at the moment of writing this, I've hit a block, so I'm taking a break for a while. I won't be doing any tomorrow because we will be going out, so I'm going to be writing some more tonight.

Happy Samhain, everyone!

There's a few things that I want to update you on. Firstly, Happy Samhain, or Halloween! Secondly, I will be doing an Open University course starting next month, Introducing Astronomy. I wanted to do something while I'm waiting for my next stage in uni studies, so I'm doing this. I know it's not Zoology, but I felt like doing something a bit different. I have started moving fanlistings from the old location and you can visit the B'elanna Torres one. I have also decided to take part in NanoWriMo this year. It was intially going to be a fan fic, but I've decided to do an original story (well, hopefully it will be an original story...). It is going to be an urban fantasy one and is kind of my response to all the YA ones out there which are awful. Hopefully, mine won't be, but you can never tell. I only write for fun, anyway.

Dinosaurs...yay...

Other than mammalian carnivores, one of my other great loves of natural history has always been dinosaurs. There was a period as kid when I was absolutely mad on them. I had loads of toys and books about them, though the vast majority of those are now gone. However, my interest in them never really went away, and like dogs (including their wild relatives), big cats, Star Wars and Star Trek, dinosaurs are one of the main interests in my life. My favourite dinosaur isn't T. rex, though he remains among the most impressive, but Deinonychus and has remained so all these years. There are others I like, at one point Tricertops had the top spot (see, us dino-nuts aren't always mad on T. rex...) but that was before I knew about Deinonychus Little did I know back then that Deinonychus and it's relatives would be the ones most closely related to birds, and that it was the very dinosaur that was my favourite was the one that rebooted research into the dino-bird connection. Why am I posting this now? Well, I've been reading a dinosaur book this week and I find it amazing what we've discovered since the late 1980's when my interest in dinosaurs first started. It lay dormant for a while, mostly because I got sick of other kids and their bullying, but I am glad that I'm now in a situation where I can study these animals again. The question remains now - should I study mammalian carnivores or dinosaurs (or maybe, even both)?.

Making Progress

I've been working on the About pages today. Everything is finished, almost. There is just the Pets page and the Art Collection page which needs to be done there. I've also updated the dolls section (I found that I'd not linked to the Star Wars OC doll page, even though it was finished and had been uploaded...) I've tried to sort out the Gallery but came across a problem. It seems that the image hosting site which I'd used originally for my gallery has gone. I don't know if I'll be able to get my pictures back. They were stored on an old computer which developed a problem with blue screen. I may be able to retrieve them, I may not. It is annoying, though. There are times I wonder if I should bother continuing with running a site because there always seems to be some problem or other these days. But I can't say that I'm surprised that hosts are disappearing - the economy of the world is getting worse, not better. I just hope that it doesn't happen to bravenet, proboards or even freewebs while this move is taking place!

Another Uploading Update

I didn't realise how long it's been since I last did some work on the site. I should really be more consistant, espeaically now since I'm paying for the domain and hosting! Most of Darkside of the Moon (or at least the material I have for it) has been transfered. I need to sort out links and image insertions so that they link to this domain and not to the freewebs account. I've also sorted out the sites page on DWN. I'm not sure if it's complete, however, because I'm still not certain wheather or not to keep the fanlistings. I may, just because of the work I've put into them, and uploading them isn't going to be too bad since most of the work is already done. I'll probably also link to the forum on that page, since it does qualify as a site in itself. I have got an idea for a web directory for science fiction, fantasy, horror and urban fantasy fan sites - it is so difficult to find them these days that I thought it would help people locate sites. Would it matter if they haven't been active for a while? Not really - it is only important that the link remains and that they link back, I should think, but this will have to wait until I've finished all the other stuff that I'm doing.

Uploading update

Finished the link buttons page and the doll adoption pages. Yay! Looking good (if it wasn't for the annoying adverts.
